LUBBOCK, Texas — United Supermarkets has chosen FuelQuest’s Fuel Management Services to streamline and manage its bulk fuel processes for its retail fuel sites, FuelQuest, Houston, announced yesterday. The service aims to reduce financial exposure, increase transparency, centralize control, provide real-time visibility into all stores, optimize inventory and automate invoice reconciliation. “Heightened fuel price volatility coupled with the expansion of our retail fuel sites throughout Texas, required us to seek out a strategic fuel sourcing solution to implement best practices across our statewide fuel operations,” said Chris Bridgford, fuel director of United Supermarkets, in a statement. United Supermarkets is a leading regional grocery chain operating 47 stores in 27 cities across north and west Texas.
