LUBBOCK, Texas — United Supermarkets on Friday said it has named Robin Hawkins as the company's first health and wellness director.
Hawkins, a registered and licensed dietitian with more than 12 years of related experience, will be responsible for overseeing execution of all the company's health and wellness initiatives and directing external health and wellness solutions and merchandising decisions. Additionally, she will be involved in internal health and wellness matters, and work with the company's benefits team to support employee initiatives.
Hawkins was recognized as Young Dietitian of the Year in 2003 by the Lubbock Dietetic Association and received the Outstanding Educator of the Year award from the Texas Dietetic Association in 2004.
She spent the last 6-1/2 years with Abbott Nutrition before joining United, which operates 51 stores in North Texas.
