Wal-Mart to Unveil New Logo: Report

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Wal-Mart Stores here will unveil a new corporate logo this week, according to a report in the Memphis Business Journal. The logo features the word “Walmart” written in white letters on an orange background, followed by a white starburst, and another version has the letters in blue with an orange starburst. The logo would be used with a new supercenter prototype the company is planning for Cordova, Tenn., according to the report. It would feature a new, earth-tone color scheme, fewer signs, more curved lines and several energy-efficient design elements. Wal-Mart could not be reached for comment.
