ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans Food Markets launched a new interactive blog called “Fresh Stories.”

Accessible at www.wegmans.com/blog, it will provide an inside look at all things Wegmans from the perspective of employees from all areas of the company.

Wegmans Chief Executive Officer Danny Wegman got the blog rolling with its first entry Thursday.

“At Wegmans, we’re all about finding ways to make great meals easy, healthy and affordable,” he said in his post. “A lot goes on behind the scenes to make that happen, and that’s a big part of what we want to share with you through this blog.”

Last summer, Wegmans made its foray into blogging with a look at the Wegmans Organic Research Farm. The information was so well received it decided to share even more behind the scenes stories with shoppers.

“The big thing is that this blog is for you,” said Wegman in his entry. “So, we’d love to hear what you’d like us to share. So join in and let us know what you’ve been wondering about.”

A photo gallery, Twitter feed and healthy eating videos hosted by Wegmans nutritionist Jen Felice are also featured on the page.
