Oct 2, 2008 6:00 AM
AUSTIN, Texas — Whole Foods Market here is inviting Web visitors to help it choose the winner of its Food Blogger Budget Recipe Challenge. “We challenged our favorite food bloggers to develop a budget-conscious (under $4 per serving) weeknight meal recipe that doesn’t sacrifice good taste,” Whole Foods said on its website. Shoppers who comment on one of the six finalist recipes — for Wonton Noodle Soup, Sweet Potato and Black Bean Enchiladas, Miso Bulgur Pilaf With Lemon-Ginger Tofu, Cincinnati Chili, Farro With Butternut Squash, Hazelnuts and Swiss Chard, and Chicken Marsala With Brussels Sprouts and Capellini Aglio e Olio — will be entered into a drawing for a $500 Whole Foods gift card. Ten runners-up will receive $25 gift cards. Visitors interested in commenting on the recipes must register on Whole Foods’ website and provide their email address. Comments must be received by Oct. 8.
