Roundy's Supermarkets opened its newest 90,000-square-foot Metro Market location — which is geared toward Millennials — in Shorewood, Wis., earlier this month.
Exclusive to the two-floor store, which is the fifth location in Wisconsin for the banner, are what the retailer refers to as specialty shops including Oki Sushi with pre-made maki and unique signature rolls; Oyster Bar featuring fresh shucked oysters, crab claws and other specialty seafood dishes; and Cheese & Curd, with imported and domestic artisan cheeses that are cut to order and specially wrapped.
“Adapting to a changing customer is an imperative in our business and our new Metro Market store was designed with an eye toward the new Millennial customer,” Metro Market spokesman James Hyland, told SN. “We believe that they are very comfortable with our store, especially our restaurant area where we have a wide array of food choices.”
