A public meeting is scheduled for Nov. 14. This type of drug sale has been mentioned by retailers — and some say it is already in place with the emergency contraceptive Plan B and the decongestant pseudoephedrine — but FDA said this week it is seeking public comment on making more medicines available this way. Birth control and cholesterol-lowering drugs have been mentioned.
