Kroger Follows Suit with $4 Generics

Kroger Co. started offering more than 300 generic drugs for $4 in its Ohio stores as well as in northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana on Friday.

CINCINATTI — Kroger Co. here started offering more than 300 generic drugs for $4 in its Ohio stores as well as in northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana on Friday. Much like the $4 generic drug plan implemented last year, first by Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark., and then by a number of stores including Giant Eagle, Price Cutter, and Target, Kroger’s discount applies to 30-day supplies of generic medications for commonly prescribed drugs.
