PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. — Swapping anti-nausea drugs for accupressure points, Psi Health Solutions here has launched its premiere product, Psi Bands. These drug-free wristbands come in a variety of designs and can be used to relieve nausea most commonly caused by morning sickness, motion sickness, anesthesia and chemotherapy. To coincide with the launch, $1 of every “cherry blossom” design Psi Bands set sold will be donated to Fertile Hope, a national nonprofit that provides reproductive information, support and hope to cancer patients and survivors whose medical treatments present the risk of infertility.

SAN FRANCISCO — A new series of MTV-style DVDs from Kitchen on Fire productions designed to inspire 18- to 35-year-olds is launching this winter with its first release, “Mastering Knife Skills: Cutting-Edge Tips, Tricks & Techniques Used by Professional Chefs.” The DVD stars West Coast cooking personality Chef MikeC and cookbook author Chef Olivier Said. “Mastering Knife Skills” will be supported with a multi-city appearance tour featuring Chef MikeC. Consumer publicity will target over 2,000 daily and weekly newspapers, monthly magazines, radio and TV shows, and Internet sites and forums.

CHESTER, N.J. — Adams Respiratory Therapeutics is introducing a new line of Mucinex extended-release bi-layer tablets: Maximum Strength Mucinex, Maximum Strength Mucinex DM and Maximum Strength Mucinex D. All three products contain guaifenesin to relieve chest congestion, and thin and loosen mucus for 12 hours. In addition, Maximum Strength Mucinex DM contains dextromethorphan for the added benefit of cough control.
