LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix here has joined a network of over 20,000 pharmacies run by Adheris, Burlington, Mass., to bring medication education and adherence programs to pharmacy customers.
Adheris works with pharmacy network members to address medication non-adherence through customized and educational refill-reminder programs designed to support prescription therapy as prescribed while safeguarding patient privacy.
"As a neighborhood pharmacy, we are uniquely positioned to provide information on health and wellness to our customers,"said Maria Brous, director of media and community relations, in a statement. "As part of the patient-pharmacist relationship, we also want our customers to remain compliant with their medications to promote the benefits of healthy living.
