ST. LOUIS — Supervalu’s Shop ’n Save is developing a fuel sales operation on a corner of the St. Ann, Mo., Shop ’n Save property, located in suburban St. Louis, according to the Overland-St. Ann Journal. The city approved a special-use permit to allow for four pumps served by a kiosk, all covered with a canopy. Attorney John King, representing Supervalu, Minneapolis, told the Journal the St. Ann operation will be the first of several planned in the St. Louis area and will open in three to four months. Shop ’n Save customers will receive discount coupons that can be used at the gas station. Anyone can purchase gasoline at the site, King said, but unless they have discount coupons from the grocery store, they will pay a higher per-gallon price.
