Grant Guidelines Focus on Community Pharmacy
ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation has unveiled a new grant program to solicit proposals from pharmacy educators who seek to address, identify and develop ways to promote the practice of community pharmacy. Priority projects include those that demonstrate the impact of patient care services delivered by community pharmacy. Patient care services may include, but are not limited to, Medication Therapy Management Programs and programs that increase compliance and persistence with medication therapy and improve outcomes of appropriate medication use. Also of high priority are projects that evaluate quality measures in community pharmacy practice and the impact on patient care. “Research that documents the value of pharmacy services in meeting patient needs both demonstrates and justifies the critical role community pharmacy fulfills in our health care system,” said Phil Schneider, NACDS Foundation president.Subscribe / Renew to Supermarket News
