MinuteClinic Scores High in Community Health Care Report 

MINNEAPOLIS - MinuteClinic retail health care centers in the Minneapolis area received a 100% rating for the testing and treatment of pediatric pharyngitis or "sore throat" in the new "MN Community Measurement 2006 Health Care Quality Report," MinuteClinic said yesterday. The report is a collaboration of the state's health plans and the Minnesota Medical Association. The ratings are based on the percentage of children from ages 2 to 8 who were diagnosed with pharyngitis during the measurement year (2005), prescribed an antibiotic on or within three days of the episode and received a streptococcus test from three days prior to three days after the episode date. ...

Gift Card Sales $6 Billion Higher Than 2005 

WASHINGTON - Retailers can expect to see a surge in gift card sales this holiday season, according to the fourth annual National Retail Federation (NRF) Gift Card Survey, conducted by BIGresearch, Worthington, Ohio, which found that gift card sales will total $24.81 billion this holiday season, an impressive $6 billion increase over 2005 when gift card sales hit $18.48 billion. ...
