Meijer to Add 22 Walk-in Clinics
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Meijer here will open 22 walk-in clinics in select stores across Indiana and Michigan starting in January. The clinics, by Affordable Basic Care, also here, will treat non-urgent medical needs without an appointment. Affordable Basic Care has selected CareClinic, Southfield, Mich., a national provider of home care, staffing services, and home care-related equipment, to operate and staff the clinics with specially trained nurse practitioners and physicians' assistants. Metro Health, also here, will be providing medical direction to effectively coordinate patient care with local physicians. "These clinics will improve access to affordable care and reduce the time burden and financial impact on patients," said Meijer spokeswoman Stacie Behler.Subscribe / Renew to Supermarket News
