CINCINNATI — In anticipation of the first day of summer on Thursday, Procter & Gamble’s Old Spice reported its Sixth Annual Top 100 Sweatiest Cities list yesterday. For the fourth time in six years, Phoenix took the No. 1 spot with an average high temperature of 94.6 degrees in June, July and August 2006, resulting in the average Phoenix resident producing 26.3 ounces of sweat per hour. In recognition, Old Spice will deliver a year's supply of Old Spice Red Zone antiperspirant to Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon. The runners-up were Las Vegas and Dallas. The Sweatiest Cities rankings are based on computer simulations of the amount of sweat a person of average height and weight would produce walking around for an hour in the average high temperatures during June, July and August 2006 for each city.
