SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper here will offer inkjet refills for $5 beginning this Sunday, Oct. 21, through Oct. 27. All major brands of either black or color cartridges are accepted. “This is a service for our customers that not only saves them time, but saves them money. We are also helping to protect our environment through reuse and recycling,” said Barbara L. Page, community and public relations manager for Price Chopper. The refill process is completed within 24 hours. In November 2005, Price Chopper started working with “I Fill Inkjets,” Glens Falls, N.Y. The company has saved over 30,000 cartridges from local landfills and saved local consumers about $300,000 over the past two years, according to Price Chopper. The program is now available in 26 of its 116 stores.
