Safeway Selling SoyPower Fuel
PLEASANTON, Calif. -- A Safeway store in West Seattle is now selling biodiesel fuel. The first Safeway to do so, the store on Admiral Way is offering two pumps with a total of four nozzles, spouting a fuel called SoyPower. It's a blend of 20% soybean-oil-based biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel fuel. Biodiesel burns less carbon dioxide than petroleum-based diesel. Safeway told Seattle news station King 5 that it has plans to add biodiesel stations at two gas locations in the Ballard area of Seattle in coming months.Subscribe / Renew to Supermarket News
