Winn-Dixie Opens Two Wellspot Clinics

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores is holding grand openings for two in-store clinics operated by Wellspot, Birmingham, Ala., this week. An in-store clinic on Jacksonville‘s Normandy Boulevard provided free medical screenings, including blood pressure checks and body fat measurements, yesterday. Tomorrow, the clinic at a Beach Boulevard store will celebrate its grand opening by offering similar services. A complimentary cholesterol screening valued at $49 was being provided to the first 25 visitors at each grand opening event. A third Wellspot clinic will open in the coming weeks inside the Winn-Dixie in the MacClenny area of Jacksonville. Current plans call for additional Winn-Dixie/Wellspot walk-in clinics in the Jacksonville area, with the partnership expanding into other Winn-Dixie stores with in-store pharmacies in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, the companies said. The companies first reported the partnership in November.
