KEASBEY, N.J. — Wakefern Food Corp., the member-owned wholesale cooperative here, recently launched ShopRiteDelivers.com, an e-commerce service that delivers full cases of selected non-perishable products to customers in and out of the markets served by Wakefern’s 250 ShopRite and 50 PriceRite stores.
ShopRiteDelivers.com limits orders to case quantities but at “very aggressive prices,” said Natan Tabak , senior vice president, and chief information officer, for Wakefern.
Categories offered on ShopRiteDelivers are general merchandise, grocery, and health and beauty. Current specials include Olay Total Effect Night Moisturizer Treatment, 1.7-ounce container, three per case, $71.97; and Victoria Ready-to-Eat Lupini Beans, 8-ounce bottle, 12 per case, $51.48. “Adding products daily, please visit often,” the website says.
“We’re looking at items where we can beat the competition,” said Tabak, adding that the website “is in the initial stages and we’re learning from it.”
Wakefern also offers ShopRite from Home, a standard online grocery shopping service offered through 162 ShopRite stores.
