The Special Food Association’s Fancy Food Show, which ran June 29-July 1 in New York, featured 2,400 exhibitors from 80 countries and regions — and 180,000 products, including confections, cheese, coffee, snacks, spices, ethnic, and natural and organic items.
Among the trends SN found at the show: alcohol-infused jams, candy, ice cream — even pickles.
Craft beer, distilled spirits, wine and sake were ingredients in several products that earned an SFA “Sofi” award for being an outstanding specialty product. Sofi winners were announced at the show.
