What is your opinion on the Environmental Working Group’s “Dirty Dozen” list that flags certain fruits and vegetables as having the most pesticide residue?

the growth of organic / natural retailers is a message about trust and a clear signal that the consumer is increasingly concerned. One has to be an idiot to maintain a lack of knowledge / transparency is better for a retailer or product brand than visibly high standards and consumer clarity.

I think there should be more groups pushing to get our customers all the information about, not only pesticides, but all the garbage the producers put in food! if it contains a cancer causing ingredient, it should have warnings like cigarettes do!

Look, I want to sell fruits and vegetables as much as any other grocer. But if produce is tested and found to contain residual pesticides (which are, by nature, dangerous to human health), consumers should be advised of that--even if only to suggest they wash before eating.
