Fred Albrecht Taps Merchandiser
riggs has been named meat merchandiser for Fred W. Albrecht Grocery Co. here, succeeding Bob Rauch, who retired.
Briggs, previously a store meat department manager, is now responsible for assisting in the productivity and merchandising of fresh meat items for the chain's 22 Acme and Acme SuperCenter stores.
Also, Lynn Gardner has been named to the new position of assistant meat buyer-merchandiser for the company. She was an assistant in the meat ordering department.
Gardner is responsible for ordering processed, deli and frozen meats, as well as assisting in buying and merchandising of deli and meat items.
Briggs and Gardner report to George Romig, director of meat operations.
Hughes Appoints Meat Supervisor
IRWINDALE, Calif. -- Hughes Family Markets here has named Terry Greene meat supervisor.
He succeeds James McClaskey who has been appointed director of service deli.
With the company for 12 years, Greene was most recently perishables warehouse quality control supervisor. In his new post, he reports to Carl LoCurto, vice president of meat.
Ore-Cal Names Regional Manager
LOS ANGELES -- Dee Nolff has been named Southwest regional sales manager for Ore-Cal Corp., which markets shrimp under the brand name Harvest of the Sea.
Nolff, previously corporate accounts sales manager for the Western region at Golden Dipt Co., Fenton, Mo., succeeds Kent Weisman, who has joined Kagume Sauces Co.
In her new post, Nolff is responsible for direct sales in five Southwestern states. She reports to Shelley Gee, national sales manager.
In another appointment, Elizabeth Bucko has been named area manager of the Eastern region for Ore-Cal, succeeding Craig Mueller, who left the company. Bucko was a contemporary marketing representative for Penn Distribution, a beverage distributor. She reports to Don Fleishman, Eastern regional sales manager at Ore-Cal.
