Specialty Coffee Association of America here has named David B. Dallis, president of Dallis Bros., as its president for a one-year term, effective Sept. 1.
He succeeds Grady T. Saunders, president of Heritage Coffee Co., Juneau, Alaska, whose term as SCAA president is expiring.
Dallis has more than a decade of industry experience with Dallis Bros., an Ozone Park, N.Y.-based firm that provides roasted coffee to the food-service industry and specialty green coffees to the in-store roasting segment of the trade nationwide.
Founded in 1982, SCAA is an international, nonprofit trade association with more than 1,600 members, including coffee roasters, retailers, importers, exporters, producers and manufacturers of allied products.
SALT LAKE CITY -- Fountain Fresh International here has named Richard C. Vigos executive vice president of sales and marketing, a new position.
Fountain Fresh International is a developer and marketer of an in-store self-service soft drink and pure water dispensing machine. Its dispensers are in several independent supermarkets in the United States and in some Canadian Safeway stores. Its machines are also in supermarkets in Australia, the Philippines and mainland China.
Vigos' responsibilities will include creating additional markets for Fountain Fresh's self-service soda dispensing machine in the domestic market. Vigos had been vice president of sales and marketing, for Swire Pacific Holdings here, a Coca-Cola bottler. He reports to Otto Cutts, president and chief executive officer.
