ASDA, Leeds, U.K., said last week it has named Allan Leighton chairman. He succeeds Archie Norman, who will remain an adviser to the company. Norman is also expected to focus on buying other struggling retailers in a new venture, Knutsford, which he set up last week with several other U.K. entrepreneurs.
