Holdings here announced the appointment of two executives in its Norristown Wholesale Produce Operation, Norristown, Pa.
Charles J. Greco was named chairman of Norristown Wholesale, a new position. His responsibilities include strategic planning and development for Richfood's Pennsylvania produce business. He is also responsible for customer relations and business development for Richfood's Pennsylvania division. Greco, a 27-year industry veteran, was president and chief operating officer of the company's Norristown division. He reports to the Richfood board.
Robert M. Romano has been named president and chief operating officer of Norristown Wholesale, succeeding Greco. His responsibilities include sales, marketing, procurement, distribution and logistics for the division. Romano, a 26-year industry veteran, was executive vice president and general manager of the Norristown division. He reports to Alec Covington, executive vice president and chief operating officer for wholesale operations.
WASHINGTON -- The Food Marketing Institute here has named Natalie Webb-Payne director of consumer affairs.
In this new position, Webb-Payne is responsible for the future direction of the FMI's consumer affairs department nutrition programs. She assists members with nutrition issues and programs, works on the FMI's consumer research projects and is the group's liaison with the science, health and nutrition community. She reports to the FMI's vice president of consumer affairs, Dagmar T. Farr.
Webb-Payne was an oncology nutrition specialist at the Washington Hospital Center here. In addition to providing clinical services to her patients, she participated in research and community outreach activities, and has conducted more than 80 "Shopping for Health" supermarket tours at Giant Food stores. Webb-Payne is also the media representative for the District of Columbia Metropolitan Area Dietetic Association.
CHESHIRE, Conn. -- George Motel has been named executive vice president of retail development at Bozzuto's here. He was vice president of retail management services.
In this new position, Motel continues to administrate the sales and development areas of the company. In addition, he oversees corporate stores, merchandising/category management and many of the retail support areas of the company, including real estate development and retail accounting.
