SKOKIE, Ill. -- Topco Associates, Inc., a food industry cooperative, has named Chuck Harris director, grocery goods/food service.
Harris joined Topco as a quality assurance technologist in July 1986 and moved into the procurement area as a grocery buyer in 1990. In 1992 he was promoted to product manager, and in 1996 to senior product manager. In 1998 he became manager of the canned goods and food service area of the grocery department.
BOISE, Idaho -- Lamb Weston, Inc., international processor of frozen potato products, named Mike Reineck and Bonnie Urresti as new marketing managers.
Reineck will be responsible for marketing support of customers in the military, club store, C-store and other retail segments. He previously served as a sales and marketing representative in retail and foodservice for J.R. Simplot, regionally and at the national level.
Urresti will be responsible for developing national accounts and management of Lamb Weston's extensive database system. Prior to joining the company, Urresti worked for Heinz Frozen Food Company as national account sales manager.
BOSTON, Mass. -- Pam Kohn has been appointed senior vice president, non-perishables by The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company here. She will oversee the sales and procurement activities in all non-perishable areas of the company.
Kohn, who will report to Marc E. Smith, executive vice president and chief operating officer, previously served nine years with Food Lion in Salisbury, N.C. There she held a number of positions including director and category management and vice president of operations for the central division.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. -- American Italian Pasta Company here has named Nigel Singh commercial director for IAPC, UK Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary developed in October 1999 as part of the company's international expansion plans.
Singh brings with him a solid background in private-label and branded sales and category management positions with Campbell and Heinz. He will be responsible for developing and managing the UK and European sales and marketing function for dry pasta for IAPC, supporting the company's new Italian pasta manufacturing facility in Verolanuova, Italy. He will also act as business manager for IAPC, handling both business and financial needs.
