Unilever HPC U.S.A. Names Senior VP
me & Personal Care U.S.A. here has named Patrick Peters senior vice president of customer management. He takes over for Gilbert Smith, who is retiring at the end of the year. Unilever HPC manufactures products under such well-known brand names as Dove, Vaseline, Mentadent, Suave and Wisk and is part of Unliver Group, which has $50 billion in annual sales.
Most recently, Peters was vice president of customer management and marketing for hair care, toiletries and personal products in Unilever HPC's Chesebrough-Pond's division. In his new post, Peters reports to Robert Phillips, president of Unilever HPC North America.
Revlon Appoints Five Insiders
NEW YORK -- Revlon here has appointed five executives in its corporate and consumer products divisions.
William Fox has been named president for strategic and corporate development of Revlon Worldwide, and chief executive officer of Revlon Technologies. He was senior executive vice president and chief financial officer for Revlon Inc. Fox continues to serve as a member of the company's board of directors.
Frank Gehrmann, formerly vice president of Revlon Inc. and executive vice president and chief financial officer of Revlon Operating Groups, has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer for Revlon Inc.
Kathy Dwyer is Revlon's new president of Consumer Products U.S.A. Most recently, she was president of Revlon Cosmetics U.S.A. She keeps her title of senior vice president of Revlon Inc.
The company has appointed Charles Busta executive vice president and general manager of Revlon Professional U.S.A. He was executive vice president and general manager of Beauty Care U.S.A., a position now held by Stephen Krawczyk, who was general manager of Cosmetics U.S.A.
Rexall Sundown Fills Com Slot
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Carol Walters has joined vitamin and supplement manufacturer Rexall Sundown here as the company's new corporate communications manager, succeeding Barbara Farnsworth, who left the company.
Walters handles all consumer- and trade-press relations, publicity, public relations and promotional efforts for the Sundown and Rexall Showcase International divisions. She comes to Rexall Sundown after having served as a vice president of public relations for Revlon and Max Factor & Co. and as a consultant for Fashion Group International, Victoria's Secret and Hearst Magazines, among others. She reports to Dean DeSantis, senior vice president and chief operating officer.
NDMA Senior VP to Retire
WASHINGTON -- Daniel O'Keefe, senior vice president and general counsel at the Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association here, will retire effective March 31. O'Keefe was the association's vice president of legal affairs from 1968 to 1973 and senior vice president and general counsel from 1981 on. He started his career as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust division. "His many contributions to the association are invaluable, including his most recent work on NDMA's successful effort to enact federal national uniformity legislation for nonprescription medicines," said James Cope, the NDMA president.
