od Centers here has named meat buyer Terry Wilhite to be director of meat sales. He succeeds Bruce Brooking, who left the company to join Giant Foods.
Wilhite is responsible for D&W meat sales, merchandising, procurement and department design. Before joining D&W, he was with Cub Foods in Stillwater, Minn., where he directed corporate-level purchasing, merchandising and operations for meat, seafood, and smokehouse departments in 108 Cub stores.
NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. -- Acme Markets of Virginia here has appointed Eddie McCoy senior director of meat operations, a new position.
McCoy has over 30 years of experience in meat retailing and wholesaling. Most recently he was the supervisor of meat operations for Bermuda's Marketplace stores, and before that was manager of meat operations for Winn-Dixie stores in Florida and North Carolina and Lowes Food in North Carolina.
PLYMOUTH, Wis. -- Sargento Foods here has named Thomas Paul to the new position of senior vice president of corporate development. Paul retains the duties he performed as vice president of strategic planning, with additional responsibilities including overseeing and evaluating Efficient Consumer Response programs. He has been an employee of Sargento Foods since 1989.
