Wild Oats Markets, Boulder, Colo., said it plans to reduce its 13 trade names to seven by the end of the year. Mike Gilliland, chief executive officer, in a conference call with securities analysts, said the name reduction is one of several initiatives intended to boost same-store sales, which declined 2% during the first quarter ended April 1.
