CHICAGO -- The Chairman's Reception and Dinner is often expected to be one of the highlights of the Food Marketing Institute Convention. And this year's event lived up to all expectations. Rev. Jesse Jackson and the presentation of the FMI's William H. Albers Industry Relations Award (see Page 6), and were then treated to a double-bill of top entertainment -- comedy legend Bill Cosby, and the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin. In all, it was a night of mutual admiration and respect.
