INDIANAPOLIS -- Marsh Supermarkets here reported that net sales increased 3.2%, but net income decreased 18.1%, for the year ended April 1. For the year, sales rose to $1.3 billion from $1.26 billion. Net income fell to $8.6 million from $10.5 million. Were it not for the cumulative effect of a change in accounting principles which resulted in a $1.9 million gain, last year's net income would have been $8.5 million, the company said.
