New Line Home Entertainment will release "Elf" worldwide on DVD and VHS Nov. 16, accompanied by national promotional efforts. The title will debut with added special features, including feature-length commentaries, deleted scenes, documentaries and Buddy's Adventure Game. Wendy's, Dublin, Ohio, and Unilever Home & Personal Care, Trumbull, Conn., will help promote the DVD and VHS release. Wendy's will launch a Kid's Meal promotion in the United States, Canada and select international territories. Unilever Home & Personal Care will offer coupons for a $5 discount on the "Elf" DVD with the purchase of any three Unilever Home & Personal Care items. "Elf" has a suggested retail price of $29.99 for DVD and $22.99 for VHS.
TORONTO -- In an effort to unite two strong brands, Madacy Kids has joined with photographer Tom Arma to produce and market its newest line of children's music compact discs; the line is supported by marketing and merchandising premiums. Madacy's marketing plan includes a national publicity campaign, custom merchandising materials and consumer music premiums with other licensed Tom Arma products that promote the compact disc. The project's intention, by uniting Tom Arma's baby photography with Madacy Kids, is to reach new audiences by way of music. The CDs are recommended for newborns and up, and will be available July 27.
BOSTON -- Gillette here will take a step away from more traditional antiperspirant and deodorant sprays with its new men's Right Guard Cool Spray. Right Guard Cool Spray will be supported by television and print advertising, and will be available nationwide next month. The product is a point-and-shoot vertical dispenser with a thumb-activated side trigger. It also includes a patented trigger lock allowing consumers to close and seal the spray mechanism at will. The spray will come in four different fragrances.
