NEW YORK -- Mark Hertenstein, formerly advertising director of Supermarket News, has been named publisher of HFD.
Hertenstein had worked for six years with HFD in the housewares, tabletop and major appliance businesses. He later spent five years with ActMedia, an in-store marketing company based in Norwalk, Conn., before joining Supermarket News two years ago.
At HFD, Hertenstein reports to Geri Brin, who last week was named executive publisher and editorial director. Brin had been executive editor and associate publisher of HFD. Mary Ann Bacher succeeded Brin as executive editor and associate publisher. She was editor of HFD.
