NEW YORK -- Supermarket industry stocks fell but fared slightly better than the broader U.S. securities market last week. ended Thursday March 15 as major stock exchanges were hit with plunging shares. The SN Index's performance compares to a 7.20 drop in the S&P 500 during the same period. The chart at the right on this page provides more details. Among the stocks in the SN index, there were 23 losers, 11 gainers and four unchanged.
