MINNEAPOLIS -- A letter to former Wetterau-Supervalu employees demanding they return their severance pay is a "cruel hoax," according to a spokeswoman for Supervalu here. A handful of former employees who worked at Supervalu's Bloomington, Ind., distribution facility received the letter in late October, said Supervalu spokeswoman Rita Simmer. According to the letter, the former employees had 30 days to return all their severance pay.
