I really enjoyed David Orgel's editorial in SN's Aug. 4, 2003, issue ["Warning Suppliers About Their Honeymoon With Wal-Mart"]. He raised a critical concern for grocery manufacturers, but it seems that Wal-Mart may just be the tip of the iceberg. facturers who have a clear vision of what's happening and are committed to developing effective response strategies, including fleshing out some of the ones you identified.
