SAN FRANCISCO -- Whole Foods Market, Austin, Texas, will continue to flex its muscles, with ambitious plans to grow to 140 stores by the year 2003 and an aggressive strategy to fend off its biggest competitor. Whole Foods executives told their plans to more than 200 employees and shareholders at the company's annual meeting here last week.
