PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway’s brands of cage-free and organic eggs are now Certified Humane, according to a release from the nonprofit Humane Farm Animal Care. “Safeway is the first major retailer in the United States to require all of their cage free and organic egg producers to become Certified Humane,” HFAC said in a statement.
