PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway will be closing its two Genuardi’s locations on the New Jersey shore in December, local reports said. The closures would leave just two stores flying the Genuardi’s brand name. Safeway earlier this year said it would exit the Philadelphia market and sold most of its Genuardi’s stores to Ahold’s Giant-Carlisle division.
