SALT LAKE CITY — Associated Food Stores has joined Topco Associates and its 22-member pharmacy program to lower in-store pharmacy costs.
“By joining with the other Topco Pharmacy members, we are confident our member- and corporate-owned in-store pharmacies along with our other partners will experience a significant decrease in their cost of goods,” said Neal Berube, president and chief executive officer of the cooperative, in a statement.
Houston-based McLane Global is also a new Topco member. The international trading group and global sourcing and logistics company will participate in Topco’s frozen, dairy/bakery, HBC/GM and not-for-resale programs.
The companies bring Topco’s retail, wholesale and foodservice membership to 53.
