SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y Foods here said Friday it has promoted Guy W. McFarlane to senior director of fresh foods, and named Gary G. Bolduc to succeed him as director of meat and seafood.
McFarlane joined Big Y in 1996 as meat and seafood merchandiser, following several years with Stop & Shop, where he began his career. He reports to Michael P. D'Amour, vice president of sales and merchandising.
Bolduc joined Big Y as a part-time grocery clerk in 1978 and held several management positions. He most recently was bakery sales manager.
Family-owned Big Y operates 60 stores in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
