SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion here is selling boxes of private-label staples to benefit Feeding America Food Banks. It hopes to raise more than 1.2 million pounds of food as part of its “Hunger Has A Cure” campaign. The food boxes will be on display and sold for $4.99 through Dec. 29. Each contains Food Lion macaroni and cheese, canned mixed vegetables, rice, tomato soup, chunk light tuna, gelatin mix and dry pinto beans.
