WOODBURY, Conn. — An in-store "Italian Night" event targeting top shoppers resulted in three times the normal traffic and a 139% sales boost for LaBonne's Market, a three-store operator based here, according to Market Basket Rewards, Troy, Mich.
Using Shopper Insight Dashboard, from Market Basket Rewards, LaBonne's identified 1,200 customers as regular purchasers of specialty Italian products. They were sent a special invitation email to "LaBonne's Italian Night." The event featured live music and sample tables offering local Italian products.
LaBonne's launched a loyalty platform with Market Basket Rewards in October 2009 to regularly target specific shopper groups for customized offers and rewards.
