CANONSBURG, Pa. — Union workers at Kroger stores in West Virginia and Ohio have agreed to a four-week contract extension while negotiations continue on a new deal, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 23 here said. The workers, at 12 Kroger stores in the Ohio Valley, previously rejected a contract offer from the Cincinnati-based retailer. The extension lasts until Sept. 21.
