LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets here on Monday reported gains in sales and earnings for the third quarter, which ended Sept. 30. Net earnings of $283.2 million increased 11.1% on a sales gain of 3.5% to $6 billion. Comparable-store sales increased 2.7% for the quarter.
