THIBODAUX, La. — Rouses Markets here, which operates 36 stores in Louisiana and Mississippi, is attributing part of an increase in sales to leveraging a price optimization system over the past two years from Revionics, Roseville, Calif.
As a result, Rouses has renewed Revionics' service contract for another year and is rolling out the system for the new stores it will be adding in 2011.
Rouses uses the system’s everyday planning capabilities to implement and tune the company's pricing strategy, which includes improving their competitive edge without impacting gross margins.
"The speed, transparency, flexibility and ease of use of Revionics' solutions allows us to quickly adapt to our customers' shopping needs, wants and patterns in a confident, strategic way," said Malcom Landry, director of administration for Rouses, in a statement.
