CHICAGO — Dominick’s, a division of Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif., began matching competitors’ discount deals through its “Deal Match” program on July 21. As previously reported, Safeway began testing the program earlier this year in Hawaii. Dominick’s website home page flags the program as new for Dominick’s.
