WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Tops Markets said it would hire 40 people to work in its accounting department as part of the retailer’s re-establishment of its operations here. Tops is taking over control of company functions from Ahold in the wake of the division’s purchase from Ahold by Morgan Stanley Private Equity.
