AUSTIN, Texas — Whole Foods Market will host its first-ever Twitter Tasting with six of its Top 10 Holiday Wines this Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST.
The chain’s national wine buyers, Doug Bell and Geof Ryan, will provide tasting notes and insights about options billed as “top-notch wines at easy-to-swallow prices.”
Featured bottles are priced under $15 and include De Chanceny Crémant de Loire, Römerhof Riesling, Simonnet-Febvre Saint-Bris, Dievole Dievolino Sangiovese di Toscana, Valley of the Moon Syrah and Paso A Paso Organically Grown Tempranillo.
Wine enthusiasts are encouraged to pick up a bottle or two before the event and print a tasting sheet so they can taste and tweet along with the experts.
“The holiday wine Twitter Tasting is designed to be a fun evening where friend can get together to taste wines and share their thoughts with other wine lovers,” said Doug Bell, global co-wine buyer for Whole Foods in a statement. “We hope this kick starts the holiday season in a fun and engaging way.”
