MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here yesterday said that, based on the progress in the Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust investigation of the company’s planned acquisition of Pathmark Stores, the two companies have agreed to give the FTC at least two weeks' notice of their plans to consummate the deal.
